Key West by Sarah Goodwin-Nguyen

The subtitle is: A Comprehensive Guide to Florida's Southernmost City.

There is so much to see and do in Key West, a vacation hotspot welcoming millions of visitors each year. In this completely independent guide, learn about the best of the city, including beaches, restaurants and bars, Duval Street attractions, hotels and guest houses, and more. This book will help you plan your next vacation to the Conch Republic.

My Review:
If asked to pick one word to describe this handy book, I'd say "detailed." Perfectly sized for a travel book, this volume is organized with the busy traveler in mind. First there is a Key West History and an Area Orientation. Then the Accommodations are listed.

I never realized that Key West had so many Bed & Breakfasts and Guesthouses before looking through this book. Other accommodations are listed under the categories: Ocean View, Lower Duval Street, Upper Duval Street, and Nearby Hotels. Price range is indicated along with facts about the room's appearance and availability to attractions.

Area Attractions, Beach and Water Activities, Dining and Drinking, Arts, and Exploring all have their own categories. Within each listing, a full description of the attraction: price, phone number, internet address, family-friendly or otherwise, items on the menu, appearance of wait staff, help the reader quickly find the information needed.

It's a good buy if you're interested in the Keys, or if you're planning a trip.
