Charlotte from Charlotte's Web Log gave me a Bookworm Award Wednesday evening. Later that evening, Robin at There's Always Thyme for... presented me with the exact same award. I love it because I am a bookworm!
Here’s how it goes.
Open the closest book to you, not your favorite or most intellectual book, but the book closest to you at the moment, to page 56.
Write out the fifth sentence, as well as two to five sentences following there.
The book nearest me is: The Rook by Steven James. It a thriller, a Christian fiction like none other. I've finished it and reviewed it. It's sitting on my desktop because it's getting ready to get mailed out to a smart eBay shopper.
page 56:
For the umpteenth time.Pass this on to five blogging friends.
With San Diego's dry climate and dense population, the city officials were nervous about any fires--especially with the memory of the Santa Ana winds that caused the devastating fires of 2007 still fresh in their minds.
The five people I tag are:
1. Sheri at A Novel Menagerie
2. Dot at Scribbles
3. Carol at Charli and Me
4. Beth at Beth Fish Reads
5. Amy at My Own Little Corner

Thanks, Sally!! This looks like fun.
Thank you, this is really lovely! Hope you have a lovely weekend!
I'll bet that is an interesting book. The Santa Ana winds - I hated them when I lived in southern California. Those hot winds made me want to climb the walls. Now when I hear about them which is every year, I'm glad I'm in Arizona.
Have a great weekend.
Charlotte
